Here are just a few ideas – even by just doing one of them, you can make a difference:

1. Never litter

Make sure you always take your litter home with you and put it in the bin. And make sure you put it in the right bin! If it can be recycled, put it in the recycling bin, not in the general rubbish bin. Rubbish left on the ground often blows into ponds and rivers, and may eventually end up in our rockpool!

2. Use a reusable water bottle

It’s really important that people cut down on ‘single use plastics’ like plastic drinks bottles that are only used once, then thrown away. So make sure that when you go to school or out to play, you take your drink in a reusable bottle.

5. Say no to plastic straws

Plastic straws often end up on beaches, and in rockpools like ours.
