{"id":2185,"date":"2020-05-06T06:37:58","date_gmt":"2020-05-06T06:37:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.dogpigeon.co.uk\/?p=2185"},"modified":"2020-05-06T06:37:58","modified_gmt":"2020-05-06T06:37:58","slug":"petas-fun-things-to-do-at-home-14","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dogpigeon.co.uk\/?p=2185","title":{"rendered":"Peta&#8217;s fun things to do at home"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3>18: Write a story!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I love the fact that, however a story starts, there are millions and millions of  possible middles and just as many potential endings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have used the opening of my only non-rhyming book, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Jamie and the Joke Factory (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dogpigeon.co.uk\/?page_id=344\" target=\"_blank\">Jamie and the Joke Factory<\/a>, as the starting-point for writing activities in a number of schools: <strong>&#8216;Jamie was SO excited! He was going on a surprise outing with Grandad!&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At this time of lockdown, I think it would be fun to write a story about a surprise outing. Why don&#8217;t you have a go? Is it exciting\/scary or madcap\/funny? Or all of those things?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Then think about the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Where is Jamie when he starts his outing?
